Process

Participation in PIVOT is intentionally limited to preserve an elite, highly personalized training environment. Entry is by invitation only, earned through Press Play by being selected as a Senior Featured Artist.

Senior Featured Artist winners receive priority access, with runners-up invited to register as space allows on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Senior Dancers named Featured Artist Winners at Press Play automatically qualify for PIVOT.
• All Senior Featured Artist Winners from the 2025–2026 regional tour are eligible to participate in PIVOT 2026 and may register for their preferred Intensive.
• PIVOT Intensives have limited capacity and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. While all Featured Artist Winners are guaranteed a place in PIVOT, placement within a specific Intensive is not guaranteed and will depend on availability at the time of registration.
• To secure placement, dancers must submit their $350 deposit at the time of registration.
• Featured Artist Winners selected at regional events occurring after registration opens will still be guaranteed participation in PIVOT. Intensive placement will be based on availability at the time they register.
• If space remains after all Featured Artist Winners have had the opportunity to register, invitations will be extended to Senior Featured Artist Runners-Up. Details for this phase will be announced at that time.

• At Press Play regional cities, PIVOT Directors may personally identify and invite dancers to attend their specific intensive.
• These invitations are independent of the Featured Artist process and are based on artistry, work ethic, and potential observed during the regional weekend.
• Dancers chosen through this opportunity receive automatic admission to the program selected by the PIVOT Director.

• The Tate McRae PIVOT Scholarship honors global artist Tate McRae, who began her career as an accomplished competition dancer before becoming an international superstar.
• The scholarship celebrates young dancers who embody Tate's drive, creativity, and authenticity.
• One scholarship is awarded per Intensive — PIVOT Concert, PIVOT Commercial, PIVOT Stage, and PIVOT Dance Team.
• Each Tate McRae PIVOT Scholarship Winner receives full tuition coverage plus all travel, room, and board expenses for their selected program.
• At select regional events, PIVOT Director and faculty identify standout dancers as finalists for consideration.
• Final recipients are announced following the end of the Press Play regional season.
